Jack the Parrot Protects Pet Shop

Jack was flying around the pet shop loose when three criminals decided to try and rob the store. They had apparently studied the store and knew where the alarms were.

They turned off the alarms, but were quite alarmed I would think themselves when Jack came at them from the darkness.

He must have pecked them and used his sharp claws on them There was lots of blood.

Jacks beak is also very sharp and if he pecked them on the head or anywhere else, they are hurting for sure.

The would be thieves did get away.

Police will find these 3 thieves if their DNA is on file. They have lots of samples to check out.

They are also checking with hospitals for the three thieves possibly needing cosmetic surgery.

Storks Seem to Build Nest In Unusual Places

Storks like to choose places that seem a little out of sort for most birds to build their nest. It doesn’t matter if it’s a place that men have built or a natural site.

Sometimes where the stork decides to build, is not always a welcome site. On top of peoples home in Denmark is a very undesirable spot to build. The Danish fear that if a stork has built a nest on your roof top that a person who dwells in the house will die within a week. I imagine they chase the storks away there.

In Europe, many want the stork to build on the roofs of their houses. It means the members of the home will be more fruitful.

These storks have built their home onto of a house in Hungary. They actually built it on the power lines. Not a very good idea.

The adult storks spend very little time on the nest once the babies are born. The babies can eat as much as 60 percent of how much they weigh a day. That is a lot of food. They enjoy eating fish and frogs.

Spider Monkey on the Loose in San Antonio

W.C. Fields, a spider money, is touring San Antonio after finding his way out of a primate preserve.

The head person of the Primarily Primates, Stephen Tello, explained how W.C. Fields managed to find his way out of the refuge last week. There were some fierce winds as a small part of the Tropical Storm Hermine passed over the area.  A tree fell which ripped open a section of  the primates enclosure.

W.C. isn’t the only primate that found the way out. There were two others that managed to get out also. They were quickly caught and returned to the refuge.

“You can tell he’s lost,” Tello told the TV station. “You can tell he’s scared, doing a lot of vocalizations. So, we really have a scared, hungry primate.”

So far W.C. has managed to evade the staff by going up trees. Just on Monday he got close to 6 miles away from the refuge.

Some people have reported seeing him near their homes and garages.

The wife of Gilbert Rodriguez was scared by him and hid in her garage where she stayed for over 60 minutes. She phoned her husband to let  him know what was happening.  There were no injuries reported.

Residents were advise by Tello that if they saw W.C. to not try and help him. To stay away from him.

Mad Cows With Glowing Eyes

A new inquiry has found that when a cow has the mad cow disease, it’s eyes give off a glow which can inform the owner it has the disease.

This discovery can help identify infected cattle and keep it from being passed to other cows and humans.

The disease in the past has caused many cattle to be slaughtered as herds have been discovered to have the disease.

Humans can get the disease from eating beef from cows that are infected with abnormal proteins which are called prions. Prions are involved in various types of brain diseases.

Studies have shown that there are chemical changes in the retina and a sensitivity to light in a cow that has the disease.

You won’t see a cows eyes glow if it has the disease but there is possibly a simple test that can be done on the cattle to their eyes, it wouldn’t hurt, but could tell the owners if the cow has it.
