Unusual Masseuses

This video will surely make you laugh, because something like this you do not see every day. All of you love when someone gives you massage because it feels like all the worries are being removed from your shoulders. You are probably always complaining that no one wants to massage you and you follow your family members with a request that they massage you at least for a few minutes. This man has found the perfect solution for this global problem and got a completely free massage for which he does not even need people. Just listen to this – his goats are enjoying in massaging him! He lays on the ground, on his stomach, and they are competing in who will be better masseuse. This cute goats are having real fun and while their mother quietly graze grass, they are hopping on their owner’s back and massaging him.

Pet Goats

Come on, admit it, now you want goats for pets! We could watch this video all day long because these small goats look so sugary and it seems like they really love their owner. We do not know of any other animal that will massage their master and look so happy doing it. Congratulations to this old man because he managed to train them doing that.

Free Massage

But we wonder for how long will their owner be able to enjoy these free massages, because goats are getting bigger and bigger every day and soon a massage could be painful and not so pleasant. However, even now that just do not seem so attractive to some, considering that goats sometimes poo while doing the massage. Little bit yucki, don’t you agree? But ok, let him enjoy the benefits of free massages! We must admit that these goats are really cute when they are so playful. Goats that massage their owners – now we know that it exists. What is next?

Guinness Book of World Records

I am sure most like me never knew there was even a section in the Guinness Book of World Records that listed the smallest dog that has a job. It’s not just a make believe job either, it’s a real job that she in this case has to report to as needed. When I read this short article and saw the sweet picture of ‘Lucy,’ I could not think of what job she could possibly perform.

Lucy’s job

Lucy has a very important job. She lives in New Jersey and her job is a therapy dog. She visits and helps people through the Cherry Hill program that is called, ‘Leashes of Love.’ Leases of love is an animal assisted therapy. The animals that work there are friends to the participants. They keep them busy, give them something to think about and care for. They exercise the animals if they are able to. The animals give them something to love and warm to touch. Plus the animal provides love back. The dogs that participate in the program have to be up to date on their shots, both distemper and rabies. The dogs also have to be tested and certified before being able to work with people in the program. It also requires the owner of the dog to participate. It’s all volunteer and dogs with their owners visit hospitals, schools, libraries, prisons and homes for people who need assistance in their daily lives.

Meet Lucy

Lucy is a mini Yorkshire terrier. She resides in New Jersey with her owner. Lucy only weighs 2.5 pounds and is 5.7 inches tall. She is very tiny but for this job, size doesn’t matter. She is only 3 years old and now has a certificate to hang in her home recognizing her as the worlds smallest working dog. The dog she replaced that was previously known as the smallest was a 6.6 pound police dog that worked in Japan.

Concerned citizens

A group of concerned people had been keeping a watchful eye on the cat all during the day. Some worked at a nearby Tesco garage. It seemed there wasn’t any real easy way for the cat to leave it’s perch on the roadway sign. It was 50 feet high and even if cats do have 9 lives, it must not have wanted to risk loosing one. I am sure it would have not lived through the fall. To try and return to the roadway above may have also been difficult along with being risky. There was a lot of traffic on the roadway and chances are, it would have been struck by a car had it tried.

24 hours

The cat had been stuck on the platform for close to 24 hours. It was becoming quite neccessary to get the cat rescued as it had no food or water supply up there. She was most likely also very frightened by all the noise on M4 the roadway right above her. They had looked into the fire department helping out, but it was unable to be done at the time safely.

The rescue

A man, known as Hugh Norville, who was a scaffolder, tried rescuing her but couldn’t reach her. Hugh made a call to a friend of his who has a crane and requested him to bring it over. Once the crane was there, Hugh was lifted up in the cherry picker to the cat. He enticed her to come to him using some tidbits of food. The hungry feline most likely gave him very little trouble. The cat was brought down safely. I can imagine the cheering as Hugh rode back down in the cherry picker with the cat. Hugh and his friend were thanked for their help with the rescue. The cat has been reunited with its owner.

Man’s Best Friend

When you look at this touching video, you will become completely warm and gushy inside. This wonderful creature, man’s best friend, was left without a leg, but that didn’t prevent him to continue with his life… He even got involved in a sport that is quite unusual for pets. Dog Rescued By Veterinarian

This poor guy went through many bad things in his life and we can’t even imagine how someone could be so cruel to this beautiful animal. There are some scenes in this video that breaks our heart which will surely be your reaction too. The dog was found last September, tied to a wooden pole with a rear foot cut off. Fortunately for him, he was saved by a well-known Los Angeles veterinarian, Dr. Daniel Slaton, who was sure that the dog will not survive and will die before they even try to save it. He was dehydrated and in the complete state of shock.

Surfing After Amputated Leg

Amputating his leg was his only chance to survive and get on his feet again, even if that meant he will have just three of them. Doctor Slaton managed to save him and not only that! He adopted this brave dog and gave him a new and safe home. The dog now lives luxurious life, resting in a dog hotel, and he is even surfing! His surf coach says he never thought that a dog with three legs will ever be able to surf, but this cutie has excellent balance and he is real hustler in surfing. Well, Onyx (name that vet gave him) has finally got the life he deserves, and we can only hope that a punishment will come upon the person who did it and that no other animal will be hurt by him. Because we all know that famous saying: Who does not love animals, does not like people either.

 Baby Japanese Macaque Monkey

What a sight, a baby Japanese macaque monkey that loves to ride on the back of a wild pig. The babies name is Miwa-chan. He is being raised by the workers at the Fukuchiyama Zoo located near by Kyoto in Japan. His parents both rejected him after birth and he has been being raised by the keepers ever since. Miwa-chan holds onto the back of the wild pig. He sometimes rides him backwards. Miwa-chan loves riding on the back of Uribo, a wild boar at the zoo. In fact, there has been over 11 million people that logged onto the website to view Miwa-chan riding on the back of Uribo. They are being recorded at the zoo. When Miwa-chan rides on the back of Uribo, it resembles how a baby monkey grips tightly to its mother in the wild.

A book about Miwa-chan and Uribo

There has been a book written about Miwa-chan and Uribo. It is highly unusual to see such a sight and it made very interesting reading. The book was written by Akihiro Nihonmatsu, the vet at the zoo. The book has now been read by millions of children in Japan. Akihiro talks about how loney Miwa-chan was and so was Uribo. The idea of letting them grow together turned out to be the perfect thing. The entertained each other and were much happier.

Best friends

Even as Miwa-chan is growing into an adult size monkey, Uribo has no problem with him riding on his back still. They are very attached. Miwa-chan was injured by a raccoon last year. The injury required 30 stitches and he could not ride on Uribo’s back while he healed. It was noticeable how much Uribo missed his friend. Once Miwa-chan was healed and given the okay, he was right back on Uribo’s back again riding around having fun. It all goes to show, animals do have feelings, they need attention and love just like us human beings do. These two need each other even though they are different, they are best friends.

Love For Animals

If you are one of us who get all soften inside whenever you see a picture of a cute animal, then this story will touch your soul and restore your faith in the goodness of humanity. You often reads stories about pets saving their owners from drowning, fire or even a burglar gaining thereby the eternal gratitude of mankind, and in this touching story we see people returning the favor. Nothing better demonstrates the love for animals than this interesting story about rescuing a dog.

Cold Rescue

Golden Retriever Charlie was rescued after he fell through the ice and fell into the cold river. The neighbors heard the dog barking and whining and went to help him but couldn’t do anything but encourage him to continue the fight against the cold current, but there were the brave firefighters who jointly carried out this rescue. One of the firefighters was attached to safety rope held by the other members of the fire team. He crawled on the ice over to him and pulled him out of the river. As Charlie has spent some time in the cold river he no longer felt his legs so firefighters had to carry him to the vehicle where they warmed him with blankets trying to dry him out to get him to restore the natural warmth.

Support Of Neighbors

One of the neighbors wrote on his blog: “The whole time I talked to him and encouraged him to continue to keep his head above water. He was constantly falling into the water and current kept carrying him under the ice, we shouted to him to hold on and he continued to fight back.” After rescuing the dog was taken to a vet where he spent the night recovering. Charlie had fully recovered and is now a happy dog. Thanks to the support of neighbors and their constant encouragement Charlie will experience much more walks, but if we were in his place we would have avoided the proximity of the river.

The largest insect in world in terms of weight

Could you imagine an insect that wieghs 2.5 ounces? That is heavier than a sparrow and is 3 times heavier than a mouse. That is amazing. This amazing insect, the giant Weta was found in New Zealand by a former park ranger. The giant weta is bigger than any other known type of insect.

Mark Moffett,  53 years of age and a once upon a time park ranger, went on a quest to find this insect. The insect resembles a cricket. Its wings can stretch out seven inches from its body. The weta is an interesting insect and it has only been found on the Little Barrier Island in New Zealand. There are more types of the weta. They are smaller and can be found thought out New Zealand.

The finding of a Giant Weta

Mark tells how he and two other people had spent 2 nights tramping the trails of the remote Little Barrier Island looking for a giant weta. They spent much time looking in the area growth but seemed to be having no luck. Then they spotted one up in a tree. It was a female. He coaxed the giant weta down with a carrot. The female giant weta really enjoyed the carrot and was eating away at it while sitting in his hand. They hurried up and took some pictures before she ate so much carrot she may become sick. Then they placed her back up in the tree. The giant weta is a extremely endangered species. They did not want to do anything to cause any harm to come to the female. The giant weta discoverd by Mark and his friends is the largest one ever recorded.  Some would think she would be a very scary insect, but she reminds me of a giant grasshopper which I find very interesting

Deer are getting braver it seems.

They are even seen wandering around neighborhoods. There have been times they have been seen walking on the street of a subdivision. If you live anywhere near a river, it’s possible you could wake up to one in your backyard eating your flowers.Early Saturday morning, there had been 5 deer out in the parking lot of the Goodwill store. They must not have appeared dangerous, there is no mention of anyone chasing them away. They were probably lost, having wandered in too far from the wooded area and were trying to find their way back.

Deer crashes through window

One of the deer must have either seen its reflection in the store window or thought there was something in there of interest. Suddendly the deer just crashed through the store window. It sounded like a car had crashed through the doors according to the manager, Victor Santucci. He told how it was such a loud noise. The first thoughts of the employees were to get the shoppers in the store into a safer area. You never know if a deer will attack or not. They got the shoppers inside the store moved safely outside. Once the customers were safe, they started trying to corral the deer. The deer seemed ok, and they corralled her in order to get the deer to leave the store.

Was she protecting herself?

The store isn’t in front of a wooded area that may have confused the deer. They have no idea why she would crash through the glass into the store. It’s possible seeing her own reflection that she may have thought she was being attacked by another deer. She may have only been protecting herself. The store is a Goodwill store in Southern New Jersey. It is located in the Woodbury Heights which is around 15 miles away from Philadelphia. Repairs have been already made at the store and it was noted that no customers were injured. Hopefully the deer has found its way back out to the woods with the rest of the deer.

Going to the Vet

It never fails, when I put my dog into the car, he cowers and hides if we are making a trip to the vet. He always seems to know where we are going. He is different when it’s the dog groomer we are going to. He loves going to the groomer. Even though both places are located in the same strip mall he knows which one he is going to. If I park up next to the vets office due to lack of parking in front of groomer, my dog still knows where we are going. If I was going to the vet, I would have to pull him out of the car by his leash. This just happened two weeks ago. When I opened the door to get him out to go to the groomer, he got out easily, walked pass the door to the vets office, peed on the post in front of the groomers’ and went right to their door. How did he know I wasn’t taking him to the vet? Could he read my mind?

Dog Says Good-bye

Another instance that shows psychic powers in pets is when I had been away at camp for a few weeks. I returned home to find no one was there. It had been a long two weeks. I had been a camp counselor of a group of young girls and I was wore out. I fell asleep on the couch. I was about 15 years of age when this happened. I was awakened by the feeling someone was watching me. I hate that when you wake up and wonder who is in the room with you. I lay there for a bit hoping they would see I was sleeping and just go on with their business, but they didn’t. Finally I stopped pretending to still be asleep. I turned to look in the direction of the presence, there was no one there. I later found out my beloved collie had passed away a few days before. He had come back to say good-bye.

Cats and Dogs Can Predict Events

Cats and dogs both are able to foresee events such as earthquakes, storms and tsunamis. They have also been know to have knowledge of someone they love being involved in a life and death situation that they don’t survive. If you pay attention to your pet at the time of someones death they dearly love, you may notice they are mourning. Maybe whimpering about something and you have no idea what. It doesn’t matter if they are close by or miles apart, the pet seems to know. If we paid more attention to animals, we may actually gain some knowledge of disasters before they happen. We are too busy trying to quiet them instead of trying to understand what is really bothering them.

Return Of The Faithful Dog

Dog for whom they all believed to be dead after he disappeared in an avalanche in which his owner tragically died showed up for days after in a hotel in Cooke City, Montana where his owners spend the night before going skiing. Bill Whittle, member of the rescue team was sure that Welsh Corgi named Ole was buried in last Saturday’s avalanche.
- The avalanche guys were up there on Monday investigating and they were looking for the dog too and never seen any signs – he says. But, on Wednesday, Ole showed up exhausted and hungry at the motel, six kilometers from the accident site. He sat in front of the room where his owner were sleeping before going skiing and he just stare into the doors. Eleven year old Marguerite, dog’s owner daughter was putting photos of Ole on poster board as a memorial when she found out that Ole was still alive.

Dangerous Mountains

Unfortunately, his owner did not survive the tragic accident. Dave Gaillard from Bozeman, Montana was skiing with his wife when avalanche started near Cooke City, old mining town few miles away from national park Yellowstone. His wife Kerry said that Dave told her to go under the trees. He obviously saw the avalanche coming, but couldn’t help himself in time.

Moment Of Happiness

On New Years Eve, north from Cooke City in avalanche died another person, Jody Ray Verhasselt, forty-six year old man from Sidney. Two deaths in that short time took their toll on this small mountain community. After Ole found his way home, the whole community was relieved because after the week of bad news they needed something to lift their spirits.
- We needed this. It kind of cheered everyone up – Bill Whittle said about return of Ole. So, Ole survived an avalanche and return some optimism between the population of Cooke city!
