Regina Mayer’s parents said “no” to a horse. Well that didn’t stop the 15 year old from her dream to ride.
It is an unusual site to see a cow being ridden like a horse, but that is what Regina has done.
She has spent a lot of time with a dairy cow she has named Luna and now rides her like a horse.
The cow has also learned how to jump over hurdles like the horses do. Regina is reported as saying, “”She thinks she’s a horse.”
Regina rides Luna around the German countryside.
When Luna was born on Regina’s family farm two years ago in Laufen, which is located in southern Germany, Regina took her for short strolls.
Luna got use to Regina and wearing the riders gear gradually and accepted it.
After 6 months of preparing Luna, Regina was able to sit on her back and ride her like a horse.
Now Luna has grown accustom to the same commands you give a horse when riding one.
