Whiplash and Bud
This picture is so cute. The monkey is almost a replica of a cowboy riding a horse. The monkey’s name is Whiplash. He is a cowboy monkey. The picture shows both animals enjoying an event at the rodeo. The fans cheer them on and they love it. Whiplash fits right into the role of a cowboy. He seems to have the right attitude and look about him as he rides Bud, a border collie. The two of them perform at rodeos and other events and I even found a commercial for tacos. People enjoy watching the two as they perform. Whiplash in his chaps riding on a leather saddle attached to Buds back. Bud doesn’t seem to mind it a bit. They both love to entertain. It almost seems as if Whiplash is smiling as he performs for his audience.
Well Known in the Rodeo Events
Whiplash and Bud are well known in the professional rodeo events. Whiplash and Bud whip around the arena with a gallant attitude and everyone in the audience shouts and cheers them on. Together they round up sheep and guide them into their pens. Whiplash has excellent skills riding Bud like a horse. He enjoys hanging off the side of his saddle imitating moves from the classic cowboy films of long ago.
Their Fame May be Ending
It seems like there is always someone to put an end to what many enjoy. Again this is the case. It seems the animal rights group thinks that Whiplash is getting too old to perform his acts any longer. He is 27 years old. They also feel the whole act is demeaning to the very intelligent animals. So Whiplash and Bud may be hanging up their chaps and saddles and being sent out to pasture. Isn’t that what they do with horses when they are too old? What about monkeys? I don’t think Whiplash will leave Bud out in the pastures alone.
