A survey was carried out on 3,000 dog owners and it was discovered that the tiny Chihuahua is actually the second most destructive dog, just behind the Great Dane. On average, a Chihuahua can cause up to £638 worth of damage, while the Great Dane tops the list with £30 more. Following up would be the Dachsunds, which can inflict £444 worth of damage during their lives. These destructive acts range from chewing sofas and shoes to breaking vases. Study has also shown that the least destructive breeds would be the pug and the St Bernard.
