Funny Animals

A newspaper delivery woman, Teresa Vick, was delivering the Tulsa World early Monday morning when she spied a skunk with its’s head inside a peanut butter jar. This occured in the downtown area of Bixby, Ok.

She was busy passing out her newspapers at the local civic center when she saw him trying to pull his head out of the jar.

Not knowing where to call for help, Teresa called a few different people before she found one that could help her. She stayed with the skunk and tried her best to keep him in the area until, Ned Bruha from the Skunk Whisper group arrived.

Peanut butter is very desireable to animals. This skunk liked it very much. Animals are always looking for something to eat.

Ned arrived and knew just what to do. He had to sedate the skunk a little in order to free him from the jar. He did this with a piece of cloth that had been doused with chloroform. He got the jar off the skunk without any trouble and was amazingly not squirted by the skunk.

Teresa was extremely happy that everything turned out alright.

The skunk found itself free again and headed for safety suffering no ill affects from the incident.

I wonder if he will still try to get the last little bit out of another peanut butter jar.
